Federal Republic of Russia has expressed its willingness to develop the energy sector in Iraq.
Deputy Russian Energy Minister, Anatoly Yanovsky said in his word during the opening ceremony of (Badra oil field) that "the opening of this field is an important occasion for the development of relations between the two countries and the energy sector falls within the priorities of the development of relations."
He added that "Russia is ready to provide support for the development of the energy sector in Iraq." Thanking foreign companies to contribute with Russia in the completion of this work. "
Yanovsky transferred, during his speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin's greetings for Iraqi President Fuad Masum, wishing further develop and support the joint fight against terrorism and spread the spirit of peace. "
The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussain al-Shahristani inaugurated Badra oil field project in Wasit province, which was carried out by a consortium / Russia's Gazprom, Kocaz South Korean, Malaysian Petronas and Turkish TPAO.
