Kuwait - Kuna

Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) announced on Tuesday it would be opening the first environmentally-friendly petrol station in Sweden. The new station, in the town of Hajfik, will fully depend on solar power for its energy needs of lighting and cooling, the company told KUNA. The only time the station will depend on public electricity will be at times of sunset in the country located in the northern hemisphere, while the station will be equipped with batteries that store solar power. The station will also be able to equip vehicles with bio-fuels like corn and cane sugar Ethanol, in addition to electricity for hybrids. The station's leftovers will be recycled, while its office blocks will be fitted with state-of-the-art insulation that stores high amounts of heat.
