Adnan Mahmoud
Tehran - SANA

Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian discussed on Wednesday with Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud the implementation of the projects carried out by Iranian companies in power plants in Syria, including projects in the Jandar and Sweidiye power plants and supplying cables, transformers, and other equipment.
Chitchian affirmed that Iranian companies will continue to carry out electric power projects and contracts in Syria, noting that he requested that the companies give priority to completing their projects in Syria as soon as possible, particularly in Jandar power plant.
He said that the Ministry and Iranian companies are prepared to provide all the Syrian Electricity Ministry’s needs in terms of equipment, pylons, cables, and so on.
For his part, Mahmoud underlined the importance of implementing the agreement between the two countries on expanding the power sector in Syria, welcoming the participation of Iranian companies in rehabilitating the energy infrastructure in Syria.
He noted that the Syrian government provided the necessary facilitations to Iranian companies operating in Syria in order to maximize achievements and boost bilateral cooperation.
