Infrastructural Water Projects
Tehran - FAN

Tehran and Algiers signed a new cooperation pact on implementation of Algeria's water resources projects by Iran in the Arab country.
The pact was signed by Iranian and Algerian officials at the end of the fifth meeting of Water Resources Joint Technical Committee on Friday.
The four-day meeting of Iran-Algeria Joint Technical Committee was attended by the two countries' senior officials in the Algerian capital.
The officials of Algerian companies voiced their pleasure in the high-quality of the water resources equipment produced in Iran, and demanded for importing such equipment.
Algeria's Amitech Company which produces GRP pipes under license of an Iranian company in Algeria has called for the expansion of cooperation and importing goods.
Last month, the two countries signed two cooperation pacts on implementation of Algeria's infrastructural projects by Iran.
The pacts were signed by Iranian and Algerian officials in the second meeting of Iran-Algeria Joint Infrastructural Committee in Algiers in late January.
The five-day second meeting of Iran-Algeria Joint Infrastructural Committee was attended by technical and engineering sectors of the two countries in the Algerian capital.
In December, Iran's Ambassador to Algiers Reza Ameri and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in a meeting in the Algerian capital explored avenues for the further reinvigoration of relations between the two countries.
In November, Ameri and Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra stressed the need for both Tehran and Algiers to do their best to promote bilateral ties in all sectors.
Speaking in a meeting, the top Algerian diplomat called for consolidation of mutual cooperation in all fields.
He underlined the necessity of exchanging high-ranking delegations between the two countries for widening and deepening of relations.
Ameri, for his part, called on the Algerian government to remove a number of official barriers in the way of expansion of interactions, specially in economic sector.
In recent years, Iran has sought hard to boost ties and cooperation with Africa.
Iran is an observing member of the African Union (AU) and has shown an active presence in previous AU summit meetings.
