The Council of governors, under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, discussed the government's plan to generate solar energy and rationalize the use of energy.

The meeting took up using solar energy as a clean source of energy which the government will depend on in street lights, governmental and non-governmental facilities during the coming years for its low cost.

The council tackled also national ventures, infrastructure and providing goods as well as services for citizens.

The council discussed rationalizing the use of energy in coordination between the Local Development and Electricity Ministries.
