Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Saturday thanked electricity officials and technicians for their efforts in repairing power pylons which were exploded in 6th of October City causing an outage at the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) and other areas.

This came during Mahlab's meeting with Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and the chairman of the Holding Company for Electricity.

"The efforts which were exerted by the Electricity Ministry's workers to shorten the time of repairing the failure reflected the Egyptian spirit of challenge," Mahlab said.

The prime minister added that the explosion was a terrorist and criminal act.
