Dubai - Arabstoday

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) launched a new 132 KV main substation with a capacity of 150 Megavolt Ampere in the Consulate area, Bur Dubai during the second quarter of this year. The cost of this substation is around Dhs135m and is intended to secure the ever-growing demand for electricity for different purposes. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO said: “Dewa continues its projects, especially in the field of power transmission. Furthermore, Dewa pays great attention to power transmission grids and main substations, which are the backbone of Dubai power grid, in line with its strategy aiming to serve all customers.” From / Gulf Today
