Red Sea governor declares emergency state before expected torrential rain

The Red Sea governorate on Monday declared a state of alert to brace for potential torrential rain and floods.
Governor Ahmed Abdullah has tasked a follow-up committee to ensure the implementation of the emergency plan to face up to any natural disasters.
Torrential rain, strong wind and high waves are expected to hit southern districts of the Red Sea governorate on Tuesday, according to a report issued by Egypt's Meteorological Authority.
