U.K.-based The Green Organisation has awarded Qatar's Ministry of Environment the silver award in laws, legislations and green regulations competition in 2014.
The Ministry of Environment, represented by General Organization for Standards and Metrology, took part in the international competition by submitting a set of laws, legislations and systems related to green building titled "Qatar Green Construction Systems." The organization has awarded Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, assistant undersecretary for laboratories and standardization at the ministry, a certificate for his contribution in scientific research aimed at solving environmental issues, the ministry said in a statement .
Dr. Al Kuwari was nominated by the Green Organization as Green Word Ambassador for the year 2015.
