Qatar celebrates national Environment Day

The State of Qatar celebrates tomorrow the Qatar Environment Day, which takes place on February 26th of each year. This year Qatar celebrates it under the slogan of “Our Environment, Our Responsibility.” The Ministry of Environment said in a statement today that it will use the occasion to accomplish a set of goals including the value of cooperation between members of a society in conserving the environment. The Ministry has prepared a number of events on the day that raise awareness including competitions, games and lectures in schools and in other locations. The Ministry also said that choosing this year’s slogan was due to the importance of conserving the environment to maintain a better life for all creatures on planet Earth.
