Noor Dubai Foundation and Dar Al Ber Society have signed an MoU to raise funds to provide treatment for individuals with visual impairment in the UAE and abroad.

Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, and Chairman of Noor Dubai Foundation, and Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazroui, Chairman of Dar Al Ber Society, signed the MoU.

As part of the MoU, Dar Al Ber will provide Noor Dubai Foundation with donation boxes and disperse them in various locations. Dar Al Ber will also be responsible for compiling the donations based on an approved system before providing the proceeding to Noor Dubai Foundation.

Commenting on the MoU, Al Qutami said that the MoU represents a new opportunity to raise funds to support Noor Dubai Foundation’s humanitarian efforts in the UAE and abroad.

He added that the MoU aims to unify efforts and standards collect funds from donation boxes, allocated specifically to raise funds for Noor Dubai Foundation, that will be dispersed across shopping malls and various organisations.

Dr. Manal Taryam, Board member and CEO of Noor Dubai Foundation, said, "Donations collected will go to Noor Dubai’s treatment and preventive programmes that have benefited more than 25 million individuals suffering from visual impairment since its inception in 2008 from all over Africa and Asia."

Al Mazroui said that Dar Al Ber is honoured to partner with one of the biggest national humanitarian foundations specialising in visual impairment treatment, adding that Dar Al Ber is focusing on expanding its national humanitarian partnerships, in line with the government’s strategy.
