Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has attended the signing of an agreement between the Follow-Up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President and Arabtec Holding to build 1,100 housing units for Emiratis in Fujairah’s Mohamed bin Zayed City at a total cost of AED1.712 billion.

The agreement is part of the initiatives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, and Mohamed Al Rumaithi Chairman of Arabtec Holding Co., signed the agreement.

Sheikh Mansour said that the residential project, which is currently being implemented in Al Hail district in Fujairah, is a translation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, which put the welfare, well-being and safety of Emiratis as a top priority by providing adequate housing within an integrated environment with advanced infrastructure and various services that facilitate the life of the UAE citizens.

He said that the project design simulates the future, and takes into account sustainability standards that respond to climatic changes and spread of green areas, in addition to taking into account people with disabilities and the elderly.

Sheikh Mansour confirmed that the project pays attention to the entertainment element, including the construction of facilities that provide comfort for children and families, in addition to pleasing aesthetics while designing houses, green areas, roads, traffic signs, and others.

The project comprises a total built up area of 2,150,000 square metres. The projects also aims to raise the standard of living and the economic and social levels of UAE nationals through securing an appropriate housing and integrated environmental service.
