Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hossam Moghazi led on Monday a campaign to remove encroachments on the Nile River in Kitkat area in Giza.
The Minister said the he hopes to remove all encroachments on the Nile to restore its beauty, pointing out that all licenses for operating Nile ferries which violate environment regulations will be revoked.
The move comes as part of a national campaign, launched by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Moghazi, to rescue the Nile.
