Cairo - MENA

The crisis of sunken phosphate vessel in the River Nile in Qena has ended, said Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazy.

The Armed Forces in cooperation and coordination with the Water Resources Ministry and all the relevant bodies managed to lift the remaining parts of the sunken vessel without any negative consequences on the River Nile, he added in statements Sunday.

Samples of water have been extracted from different parts and examined over the past 10 days to make sure it is potable, he added.
