Amman – Arab Today

Amman Municipality continues her annual campaign “Clean your roof, your country is beautiful” for the second year in a row to increase awareness among the society classes and to stress on the importance of cleaning roofs after they caused health and environmental problems that affect the public health.

Under the supervision of Inspector General Sector, Municipality areas, and the committee of Oman Green 2020 Towards Green Jordan, the campaign started its activity in El Madina area to encourage residents to use and plant their roofs and gardens to make their city more beautiful. Director of Health and Occupational Inspection Department, Abdullah Al-Dabbas confirmed that, the campaign helps to beautify Amman by removing all visual pollutants and health hazards from the commercial roofs.

Al-Dabbas praised the residents’ cooperation and response to the campaign, adding that, the department in cooperation with the cadres and director of the city area issued 60 violations and warned the owners of the unregistered roofs. The department will also work with the directorate of Information and Communication to educate the residents about the campaign and its goals, which will enhance the city image and attract more tourists and investments.
