Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi has today launched a clean-up campaign. Parliament Second Deputy Chairman Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Maawda and other officials and representatives of civil society attended the event, which is part of the national campaign to make Bahrain a better place (Nasmu).
The Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry is organizing the campaign in partnership with the municipal councils and the civil society institutions.
Hundreds of citizens and over one hundred civil society organizations joined efforts to clean-up the coasts located at Al-Fateh, Busaiteen, Abu Subah, Al-Jazair Beach and Tubli Bay.
Dr. Al-Kaabi joined the volunteers in cleaning-up Busaiteen coast, in the presence of Parliament Second Deputy Chairman Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Maawda, Muharraq Municipality director-general Saleh Al-Fadhala and municipal councilor Mohammed Al-Mutawa.
He also took part in cleaning-up Al-Jazair beach in the presence of South Municipality director-general Assem Abdullatif, Municipal Councilor Badr Al-Dosary, citizens, residents, school students and representatives of the civil society and the expatriate communities.
