Doha - Arabstoday

The Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel will be transformed to reflect the colours, flavours and sounds of Ancient Arabia with a modern twist during Ramadan. The Renaissance, led by General Manager John Northen, has announced its inaugural Ramadan celebrations in its magnificently decorated Al Areen Ballroom. As part of its announcement, the Renaissance Doha mentioned that Ramadan is a time for family and friends, with a spirit of kindness and hope. For the occasion, Renaissance’s Executive Chef, Christian Jean, has planned a vibrant array of international delicacies with the most exquisite Arabic favourites. Families are invited to break their fast with an appetizing Iftar buffet combining the finest indigenous recipes and amazing treats. Interactive cooking stations and live Arabic music top off the festivities in a backdrop of style and sophistication. Guests can look forward to a tantalising selection of fresh salads, rich main courses and decadent desserts, as well as the legendary dishes of Macheboos, a lamb and rice tradition, and the sweet Um-ali specialty to complete the meal. Guests can continue the celebrations at the Sohour buffet, not forgetting a fine selection of shisha at both events. Commenting on Ramadan at the Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel, Robert Catlin, Director of Beverage and Food, said, ‘We want to ensure we are offering our guests who visit our Al Areen Ballroom the right experience when breaking their fast at Iftar and enjoying Sohour. We would like for our guests to come not only for the traditional Arabic and international delicacies, but also because we are meeting their needs in every other way during this important time. Our offer includes a fantastic menu, live Arabic music, shisha and all their favourite Ramadan juices.” With décor inspired by wonders of the Middle East, the Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel is the perfect location to capture the excitement and elegance of Ramadan. Located on the first floor, the Ballroom will be opening 30 minutes before Iftar until 8pm for QR190 including Ramadan juices. The celebrations continue at the Sohour buffet from 9pm to 2am, also including Ramadan juices, for QR225. Corporate groups are encouraged to book their special dates early. The Renaissance Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott and Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Center are located in two 48-storey towers in the heart of Doha in the new financial and business district of West Bay. The hotel is conveniently connected to the Doha City Center Shopping Mall, which features over 340 stores plus many more activities.
