Hyatt Hotels have announced their intent to expand into the key regional markets of UAE and KSA ) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with the launch of Hyatt Place Dubai/Al Rigga in May 2014, and Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek, Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl, Hyatt Regency Riyadh and Hyatt Regency Makkah.
“We have been managing hotels in UAE and KSA for several years now and continue to recognize and expand into these two critically-strategic markets. We currently operate six full service hotels in these two countries alone,” said Tareq Daoud, regional vice president global sales—Middle East, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, South West Asia.
Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl is a Hyatt affiliate that has entered into a management agreement with Emirates Pearl for Development & Investment LLC. This joint venture is between Atlas Telecom and the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC). The hotel will offer 368-rooms and 60 fully-furnished service apartments with four restaurants, a lounge, two bars and meeting facilities.
For the Hyatt Regency Makkah, a Hyatt affiliate has entered into an agreement with Jabal Omar Development Company to manage three properties in Makkah. Hyatt Regency Makkah will be part of a two-phase master planned mixed-use development and slated to launch in 2015. The hotel will offer 657 guestrooms including 26 suites, in addition to several dining venues and a Regency Club lounge.
