Cairo - Shaima Mikkawi
The Egyptian accessory designer, Enass Ismail has spoken exclusively to Arabstoday about her latest collection of accessories. Enass revealed: "I have designed a collection of jewellery characterized by the use of copper and it's smooth integration with precious stones." Friends told Enass that her accessories were stunningly reminiscent of those seen on screen in Turkish series Hareem al-Sultan. However, Enass explains, "The strange thing is that I have not even seen the show so I was surprised that my accessories were so similar to the jewellery worn by the actress in the series.” The designer added that she took the comparison as a compliment. Regarding her latest collection, Enass said: Copper is a fashionable material these days, especially as it is very similar to gold, which is less appealing now because of its price. Importantly, copper wires do not corrode over time. I also use a variety of precious stones such as agate, emerald and coral as well as crystals." Enass recommends wearing her accessories with a simple, dark coloured outfit to truly show it off. She added that the collection was carefully considered to make it a suitable length for veiled and non-veiled girls alike. In a final tip from the top, Ismail advised Arabstoday to keep our accessories in petroleum jelly bags, to keep them free from dust, rust and environmental factors.
