The American actress dazzled in LA London – Caroline Kent Actress Mena Suvari channelled Old Hollywood charm in Georges Hobeika for Jamie Kennedy’s First Night 2013 event in Los Angeles, California. Suvari seduced the crowds at the star-studded New Year’s Eve bash in a raspberry red cocktail dress with an open-back, velvet top and full, chiffon skirt from Georges Hobeika’s Fall-Winter 2012-13 couture collection. Accentuating the female form is nothing less than a labour of love for couture designer Georges. The son of a seamstress, Georges Hobeika discovered his love for fashion design as he fulfilled his mother’s requests to assist her in servicing her growing clientele. Hobeika majored and graduated in Civil Engineering, before making the trip from Beirut to Paris to learn develop his sketching skills in the fashion sphere. He returned home to open his own atelier in Beirut and continues to support his mother’s work by fully integrating her clientele with his. Proud of these unique beginnings, Hobeika is happy to see that what started out as a small family business has become the thriving international fashion house it is today.
