Dior Resort 2015 influences

Christian Dior Resort 2015 New York - Arab Today Belgian designer Raf Simons took Christian Dior to Brooklyn this week. "America is a constant inspiration for me," explained Simons. Unveiled at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City with a mirrored and LED-packed set, Simon's Cruise collection duly mixed the brand's European heritage (exemplified by the silk scarf leitmotif) with classic American style. Firm couture-style constructions contrasting with playful and fluid silks were shown alongside patchwork furs, suede outerwear and handwoven coats. "I wanted an element of playfulness in powerful looks, it was an element of freedom coming into those looks," he added. Two more big runway shows for the Resort 2015 season are set to take place this month, with Chanel to show in Dubai on May 13, and Louis Vuitton at the Prince's Palace in Monaco on May 17.
