'Red Band Society' production halted due to low ratings

Production has been halted on the critically acclaimed, but low-rated freshman Fox medical drama Red Band Society.
Starring Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the show is about seriously ill teenagers living together in the pediatric ward of a hospital.
The series will cease production on its first season after Episode 13, however, the program has not been officially canceled yet and it is still possible it could even be renewed for a second season, TVGuide reported.
