Nominations for the fan-voted People's Choice Awards in film, television and music categories were announced in Los Angeles Tuesday. Voting is open now through Dec. 5, and winners will be revealed during a live broadcast at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live Jan. 8 on CBS. Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings, stars of TV's "2 Broke Girls," are to serve as hosts of the event. "Despicable Me 2," "Fast & Furious 6," "Iron Man 3," "Monsters University" and "Star Trek Into Darkness" are up for the People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie. In the running for Favorite Movie Actor are Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Downey, Jr. Shortlisted for Favorite Movie Actress are Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Melissa McCarthy, Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson. The nominees for Favorite Network TV Comedy are "2 Broke Girls," "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Modern Family." Mentioned for Favorite Comedic TV Actor are Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jim Parsons and Neil Patrick Harris. Nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actress are Jane Lynch, Kaley Cuoco, Lea Michele, Melissa McCarthy and Zooey Deschanel. Up for Favorite Network TV Drama are "Chicago Fire," "The Good Wife," "Grey's Anatomy," "Nashville" and "Parenthood." Shortlisted for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor are Jim Caviezel, Josh Charles, Kevin Bacon, Mark Harmon and Patrick Dempsey. Vying for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress are Julianna Margulies, Mariska Hargitay, Pauley Perrette, Sandra Oh and Stana Katic. The nominees for Favorite Competition TV Show are "America's Got Talent," "Dancing with the Stars," "MasterChef," "The Voice" and "The X Factor." Competing for the title of Favorite Cable TV Comedy are "Awkward," "Cougar Town," "Hot in Cleveland," "Melissa & Joey" and "Psych." The contenders for Favorite Cable TV Drama are "Downton Abbey," "Pretty Little Liars," "Sons of Anarchy," "The Walking Dead" and "White Collar." Shortlisted for Favorite Premium Cable TV Show are "Californication," "Game of Thrones," "Girls," "Homeland" and "True Blood." Nominated for Favorite Cable TV Actress are Angie Harmon, Claire Danes, Courteney Cox, Lucy Hale and Maggie Smith. Up for Favorite TV Movie/Miniseries are "American Horror Story," "Behind the Candelabra," "The Bible," "Sharknado" and "The White Queen." Vying for Favorite Daytime TV Host[s] are Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, Dr. Phil McGraw, Rachael Ray and Steve Harvey. Mentioned for Favorite Late Night Talk Show Host are Conan O'Brien, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert. The contenders for Favorite Male Artist are Avicii, Blake Shelton, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Michael Buble.
