James Franco to star in series based on Stephen King's '11/22/63'

James Franco is to play Jake Epping/George Amberson in the small-screen production of Stephen King's historical fantasy novel 11/22/63, King's website confirmed.
Hulu is to stream the original nine-hour series.
Published in 2011, the bestselling novel is about a time traveler who attempts to thwart the plot to assassinate U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
Franco has appeared in the TV shows Freaks and Geeks and General Hospital. His film credits include The Interview, This is the End, Milk, 127 Hours and Pineapple Express.
