S&P lowers outlook on China government bonds to negative

Ratings agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) cut its outlook on China's sovereign bonds from stable to negative on Thursday, warning that economic rebalancing was proceeding more slowly than expected.
"We revised the outlook to reflect our expectation that the economic and financial risks to the Chinese government's creditworthiness are gradually increasing," it said in a statement.
