Samsung Electronics posted a 38.9 percent fall in the first quarter net profit Wednesday as the world's top handset maker continued to battle competition from archrival Apple and smaller Chinese rivals.
Net profit for January to March amounted to 4.6 trillion won ($4.3 billion), down 38.9 percent from a year earlier, the South Korean firm said in a statement.
