All India's villages to have electricity by May 2018

India's government will work to ensure all the country's villages have electricity within two years, the finance minister said, as he presented the annual budget on Monday.
"The government is committed to achieve 100 percent village electrification by 1st May, 2018," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
