Bahrain, Sudan, Somalia and Kosovo are among those who have expressed their solidarity with Saudi Arabia against the attempts by international forces to exploit the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in a media campaign against the Kingdom.

Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa affirmed the nation’s strong support of the firm Saudi stance against any attempt or threats to undermine it, expressing strong condemnation of the false claims against the Kingdom by some media outlets.

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on everyone not to allow those who are keen to undermine the nation to take this opportunity. A statement from the ministry called on Saudi Arabia and Turkey to address this issue in its legal and diplomatic dimensions.

Somalia stressed the need to keep away from schemes and campaigns against Saudi Arabia, and confirms the Kingdom’s firm position and support for the stability and sovereignty of Arab countries.

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora affirmed that Saudi Arabia, through its history, is a key Arab pillar that supports moderation. He added that the Kingdom combats terrorism and extremism, and enhancing peace, particularly in the Islamic world, is the Saudi goal.

He lauded the formation of the Saudi-Turkish expert team to uncover the circumstances of Khashoggi’s disappearance, calling for the avoidance of false accusations.

The Islamic chiefdom in Kosovo has announced its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia against whoever tries to undermine its position and regional status, stressing its absolute rejection of all attempts to harm the Kingdom.

Issa Khaira Robleh, director general of the Union of News Agencies, a specialized media organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has denounced the tendentious media campaign against Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed bin Abdulmohsen Al-Awwash, chairman of the Arab Countries Broadcasting Union, confirmed his organization’s strong rejection and denunciation of the hostile campaign in the media against the Kingdom. The Khashoggi case, he said, is still under investigation and Saudi Arabia has expressed unlimited readiness to reveal the truth.

The Mufti of Lebanon Abdul Latif Derian said that political blackmail campaigns against Saudi Arabia are seen as provocation and a challenge to the feelings of more than a billion Muslims.
