Iraqi president meets Lower House Speaker

Iraqi President Barham Saleh, yesterday, met with Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh, as part of his official visit to the Kingdom that concluded on Thursday.
President Saleh stressed the need to enhance cooperation between Baghdad and Amman in various fields including economy, trade, energy and transport.
Tarawneh emphasized that Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty the King is keen to promote cooperation with Iraq, commending the efforts of the Iraqi Ambassador in Amman in this regard.
