Iranian filmmaker Naser Zamiri's Bitter Milk and Polish director Bartlomiej Zmuda's Barbakan shared the Best Film Award of the festival. The awards went to filmmakers whose works met with the standards put forward by a 34 member international grand jury, Press TV reported. According to festival organizers, 350 of the 4200 submitted works were selected for the competition section of the annual event. Films from 105 countries competed in experimental, fiction, animation and documentary sections. Planet Z by French filmmaker Momoko Seto won this year's Best Experimental Film Award, and El Nino Miguel by Nacho Martin from Spain received the Best Short Documentary Award. I'm Going to Disneylandby Antoine Blandin from France gained the Best Animation Award and the jury presented their Best Award to Mashti Ismail by Iran's Mehdi Zamanpour. Tehran's 28th International Short Film Festival was held from October 10 to 16 at the capital's Azadi Theater Hall and the Iranian Artists Forum.
