New York - UPI

US reality television personality Tamra Barney says she is being treated for cervical cancer. The cast member of "Real Housewives of Orange County" made the revelation during a taping of "The Dr. Oz Show" to air Thursday, Zap2it.com reported Monday. "I had a little health scare," Barney, 44, said in the interview. "I was going through this divorce [from Simon Barney]. I go to the doctor and I have lumps in my breasts and I had cervical cancer that had to be removed." The mother of four children said she had her breast implants removed, as well, and felt as though she was taking back control of her body. "I really went through this like: 'What is going on with my body? What is going on?' I'm talking to my doctor about ... doing a hysterectomy," Zap2it.com reported she said. "And I have lumps and I'm thinking: 'Oh my god. I needed to take over my body.'"
