Manama - BNA

Calling all bands and musicians! Have you ever wanted to get on stage at a world-class entertainment venue? Do you want to show the world what you’re made of and maybe win some attractive cash prizes? Then sign up now for Bahrain International Circuit’s Music Competition! Tune up your guitars, brush up on your microphone skills and be sure to make the most of this chance of a lifetime. BIC’s five-day music competition takes place this month and is open to all musicians and bands from across Bahrain, so hurry and sign up now! The major music competition is open to bands and musicians from all musical genres including pop, rock, jazz, reggae, R&B, country, Latin, R&B, hip-hop and others. Musicians are invited to register to participate and will have the opportunity to play their music live whilst also competing for some attractive cash prizes! The competition is one of the major highlights of the first-ever BIC National Day Festival that takes place at "the Home of Motorsport in the Middle East," from December 13 to 17. Bands from all across the Kingdom, including the best hotels and clubs, are eligible and are encouraged to come forward to sign up. Officials are especially encouraging schools, musical institutes and local clubs to join in the celebrations to highlight Bahrain’s unique spirit and culture, so it’s time to strike up the band! The invitation to participate is extended to any and all experienced, and novice bands, and solo musicians but participants must perform with an accompanying instrument. Solo vocalists who do not play an instrument do not qualify. Participants will be divided into a four-day schedule, with the best performers from each day being selected to perform on the final day of the festival. Solo musicians and bands from around Bahrain will use the competition as a platform on which to perform live and celebrate their love for music. Participants will have the chance to win attractive cash prizes, including BD3,000 as first place, BD2,000 as second place and BD1,000 as third place prizes. Anyone who would like to register or make enquiries may do so by contacting +973 17451770, +973 17451099 or by sending an email to bic.nationalday@bic.com.bh . Registration costs BD10 per band. The BIC National Day Festival will take place from 4pm to 10pm daily on each of the five days and entry tickets priced at 500 fils each will be available at BIC’s main gate on all five days. It is being held to celebrate the brightest and most prominent days on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s calendar. For more information on the exciting activities taking place at the circuit, call BIC’s official hotline on (+973)17450000 or visit the circuit’s official website www.bahraingp.com.
