Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla stressed the great importance accorded by the royal reform project to the empowerment of Bahraini women. He lauded the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) in boosting the presence of Bahraini women in various political, economic and social fields as well as the local, regional and international scenes.


The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking marking the anniversary of SCW. He stressed the Representatives Council’s keenness on supporting women-related issues. He also praised the efforts of SCW personnel in promoting the status of Bahraini women within the framework of the constitution and the National Action Charter. He noted that the Representatives Council considers women as an integral part of its legislative system, pointing out the efforts made to empower them and protect their rights.
