The Sharjah Business Women Council, SBWC, is encouraging women entrepreneurs and innovators to enhance and expand their businesses in the technology sector through its presence at GITEX Technology Week 2017.

SBWC, one of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment’s five entities, is participating in the 37th edition of GITEX, the largest ICT event in the Middle East, to promote its strength in technical innovation and creativity and establish its role in Sharjah’s digital transformation.

The council’s presence will continue until October 12th at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Sheikh Saeed Hall, as part of the Sharjah eGovernment stand.

Maryam Al Suwaidi, Membership and Services Manager at SBWC, said, "GITEX Technology Week is an ideal platform for women to know more about new concepts and advancements in the world of modern science and technology.

"Women also have the opportunity to present their projects and businesses in a sector which has not traditionally been driven by women and demonstrate that their technology enterprises are worthy of considerable investment at Gitex Future Stars, which is held on the side-lines of Gitex Technology Week."

Al Suwaidi added, "SBWC will continue its dedication to supporting businesswomen at GITEX and other events, and will encourage them to unlock their true potential through its initiatives and programmes."
