Arab Women Investors Union honours Fatima bint Mubarak
Cairo - WAM

The Arab Women Investors Union honoured H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, at an Arab League ceremony.

The honorary shield was received by Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt. He affirmed that the efforts of Sheikha Fatima have contributed to the empowerment of Emirati women since the establishment of the country and it is no surprise that women now hold the highest positions in all state institutions. He also praised the unconditional support that the Mother of the Nation provides to Arab women in general and Emirati women in particular.

Dr. Huda Yassin, President of the Federation of Arab Women Investors, also valued the efforts of Sheikha Fatima, noting that she is not only the Mother of the UAE but also the mother of the Arab Women Investors Union.

She said that Her Highness has supported the Union of Arab Women Investors since its establishment in 2005, by sending the largest delegation that participated in the 2005 elections. She sponsored the Arab Women Investment Cooperation Conference in Abu Dhabi in 2006 and hosted a number of union members and representatives of the Egyptian government. This had a great impact in supporting the efforts and objectives of the union, she added.
