The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) launched “Eid Al-Sekka Ahla” activities this evening at the Al-Hijaz Railway, west of the Prophet’s Mosque.
The event coincides with Madinah feast, which is part of the activities celebrating Madinah as the Capital of Islamic Tourism 2017.
Activities on the first day focused on a number of programs, including the Lights of the City program, which was a main attraction for visitors. Other programs relate to the customs and traditions of Madinah, the Halawet El-Eid program, a comedy show, acrobatics, magic tricks and games for children.
SCTH Madinah Director General Khalid bin Hussein Al-Shahrani said visitor feedback on the events was very positive. He extended his thanks to all program managers and organizers for the efforts they exercised during Ramadan to organize and implement these special programs and activities.
