About 100,000 passengers have arrived at and departed from the different Red Sea ports over the month of May.

The passenger movement during last month was 58 percent more than the same period in 2016, the Red Sea Ports Authority said in a statement Tuesday.

About 66,000 passengers arrived at and departed from Safaga Port in May 2017, the statement said. 

Another 26,000 passengers arrived at and departed from Nuweiba Port during the same month, it added. 

Also 8,000 passengers arrived at and departed from Hurghada Port in May, the statement further said.
