More than 350,000 Ukrainian tourists visited Egypt in 2016, Ukrainian Ambassador to Egypt Hennadii Latii said Sunday.
Speaking to MENA, the diplomat said Ukraine's tour operator Anex Tour has lately organized a workshop for 150 Ukrainian companies operating in the tourism domain to get them acquainted with tourist facilities in Hurghada and nearby areas.
The Ukrainian representatives discussed with South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdullah ways of promoting tourism cooperation and launching a campaign to attract one million Ukrainian tourists every year.
Trade exchange between Egypt and Ukraine hit 2.315 billion dollars in 2016, including 2.266-billion-dollar Ukrainian exports and 48.7-million-dollar Egyptian exports.
