Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), strongly condemned a terrorist bombing that occurred in Baghdad yesterday, resulting in death and injury of innocent people.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Zayani stressed that this terrorist crime is against all humanitarian and moral values and principles, and confirmed the GCC’s solidarity with Iraq.

He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, and the Iraqi government and people, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

He also has denounced the terrorist bombings that took place in a number of Pakistani cities and provinces, which also resulted in death and injuries.

Al-Zayanai highlighted the stance by GCC member states to support Pakistan in combating terrorism, and expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, and to the Pakistani government and people. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
