The Norwegian police found and defused a bomb-like device in the capital Oslo late Saturday.
The device, which was found in a plastic bag near the city center, was destroyed in a controlled explosion, police said.
Police were on the scene to determine whether the controlled explosion had resulted in any damage.A man who might have been carrying the device was detained at the scene and taken in for questioning.
