Qatari daily newspapers in their editorials Monday affirmed that the file of the Palestinian national reconciliation is of particular importance to the State of Qatar's leadership, government and people, stressing Qatar's positive role in unifying the Palestinian ranks in the face of the occupation.
The newspapers said that the end of the Palestinian division's file topped the Qatari-Palestinian summit on Sunday between HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, pointing out that the Qatari political, financial and developmental support for Palestinian people comes from the belief that the Palestinian issue represents Qatar's first issue.
Under the headline "Qatar Supports Palestinian Reconciliation," (Al-Raya) Qatari daily said that the support of Palestinian people remains the top priority of the State of Qatar and that the Palestinian issue will always be in the heart and mind of HH the Emir, noting that yesterday's meeting HH held with President Abu Mazen came to emphasis on the continuation of Qatar's support for the Palestinian people either through political support for the issue, the efforts of the national reconciliation, the reconstruction projects of the Gaza Strip, or through the support of UNRWA projects.
The paper noted to the meeting between HH the Emir and HE President Mahmoud Abbas during which they consulted and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest as well as regional and international issues, especially the international efforts to find a lasting, just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, establish an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, and… stop settlement practices and continuous Israeli attacks on the brotherly Palestinian people.
The Qatari daily newspaper stressed that the State of Qatar has spared no effort in supporting steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and unifying the Palestinian ranks in the face of the occupation schemes and the international silence towards the Palestinian cause.
Al-Raya added that Qatar's Urban projects in the Gaza Strip and its support for (UNRWA) represent part of the great financial and political support provided by the State of Qatar to the Palestinian people in various fields, noting Qatar's keenness to  achieve Palestinian national reconciliation and unification of the national ranks which indicates the unity of all Palestinians in face of the occupation. 
Under the headline "Qatar and Palestinian Reconciliation", (Al-Watan) newspaper said that Qatar always renews keenness to help end the division between the Palestinian political parties.
The paper noted to the positive role played by Qatar in this regard, which …consistent with its clear broad vision to end disputes between the parties through dialogue.
The Qatari daily said that Qatar's ultimate goal is that Palestinians get their rights and establish their own state.
Al Watan also noted that HH the Emir's talks with President Mahmoud Abbas reflect  Qatar's  concern with  the Palestinian cause and its importance  for the State of Qatar and the Arab nation, stressing that the Palestinian issue is going through  a delicate stage that has seen a spike in Israeli crimes against our brothers.
For its part, (Al-Sharq) newspaper noted to the continuity of the Qatari support of Palestinian brothers through projects implemented in the Strip or through diplomatic stances at international and regional forums that embrace the Palestinian cause and defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, primarily the right to establish its independent State with Jerusalem as its capital.
The newspaper pointed out that those stances were appreciated by the Palestinian leadership, saying that this Qatari support and the activity of Qatari Committee for the reconstruction of Gaza which is concerned with the implementation of its programs and projects in the sector at all health, social, educational and economic levels for the development of the Gaza Strip.
In this regard, Al-Sharq noted to the latest projects which are the Second Phase of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa City in Gaza Strip and the Qatar-funded projects which had a positive impact on the victims of the Israeli aggression.
Moreover, the Qatari daily stressed Qatar's keenness to achieve Palestinian reconciliation which topped the files that were discussed yesterday in the Qatari-Palestinian summit, which took place in Doha between HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, besides the rest of the developments of the Palestinian issue, especially the issue of ending the ongoing Israeli settlement practices and aggressions on the brotherly Palestinian people, noting to the importance of these discussions that came days before the upcoming talks between Abbas and US President Donald Trump in Washington.
Al-Sharq newspaper said in conclusion that the Qatari leadership has taken upon itself the responsibility of unifying the Palestinian national ranks in order to strengthen the positions of the Palestinian negotiator with the Israeli occupier, hence Doha is keen to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation.
