Motorists experienced significant delays during the rush hour commute on Tuesday morning, with several accidents exacerbating congestion.
An accident on Ras Al Khor Road near the wildlife sanctuary towards Dubai caused delays, according to @trafficDXB.
Slow-moving traffic was reported on all the main routes between Sharjah and Dubai.
Motorists travelling on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout in Sharjah to Mirdif City Centre were caught in long queues.
Elsewhere there are delays on the Dubai-Sharjah Toll Road to Dubai International Airport.
Congestion was also reported on parts of Sheikh Zayed Road near DIFC in the direction of Abu Dhabi.
Traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road between Safa Park and Mall of the Emirates was also slow in both directions.
Tailbacks were reported on the Dubai-Al Ain Road from Liwan to Nad Al Sheba 2 following an accident on the road heading into Dubai.
There were also delays in the capital on the Abu Dhabi to Al Shahama Road at the Eastern Mangroves and the Abu Dhabi to Al Ain Road near the Petroleum Institute.​
