Cairo - Arab Today

Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Al-Araby on Sunday underlined the need for clear Arab vision for the efforts required to create a nuclear-free Middle East.
The international community's bias and double standards in dealing with nuclear non-proliferation have helped Israel to keep its nuclear arsenal away from spotlight or international inspection, Al-Araby said in his inaugural
speech of the second joint conference of the Arab League-Egyptian Council of Foreign Affairs.
The conference focuses on the regional security repercussion of Iran nuclear deal with 5+1 group.

Iran's nuclear deal was a major geopolitical development in the region and it would have huge impacts on the political and security situation due to Iranian interference in the regional affairs, he said.

Al-Araby said that the deal did not take into account the Arab countries' concerns despite its expected security, political and economic effects on them.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry underscored, in an address read out on his behalf by his aide for multiparty relations Hisham Bader, the importance of a unified Arab stance on riding the Middle East from mass destruction nuclear weapons.
