AL to celebrate International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People
International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
Cairo - Arab Today
The General Secretariat of the Arab League will organize Monday a ceremony on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
In 1977, the General Assembly called for the annual observance of November 29 as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. On that day in 1947, the Assembly adopted the resolution on the partition of Palestine (resolution 181 (II)).
The event will be attended by Arab ambassadors in Cairo, AL permanent representatives, foreign ambassadors to Egypt, representatives of international organizations and Arab Unions and a number of Egyptian and Palestinian figures.
