Prime Minister Saad Hariri received a congratulatory message from US President Donald Trump on the occasion of Independence Day in which the latter expressed "the United States' appreciation for the bilateral relations between the two countries and the two peoples in various political, economic and cultural fields."
"Lebanon was a strong partner with the United States in the face of terrorism and violent extremism," he said, underlining his country's firm support to Lebanon."
"The United States will continue to back Lebanon's efforts to protect its stability, independence and sovereignty," Trump said in his message
