Paris - Arab Today

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Roman Nadal on Tuesday said that a peace conference slated for January 15 here will extend a bunch of incentives for pushing up negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

In press statements, he added that the two parties only are capable of achieving peace in a direct way.

He underlined that the two-state solution is the only viable avenue for establishing just and durable peace that guarantees the security of Israel.

He further highlighted the necessity that the Palestinian and Israeli sides should stop any action that would lead to reconsidering the two-state solution.

The conference is held within the framework of the French peace initiative in the Middle East, he added.

The conference will confirm the international community's support for the solution of two states that could live side by side in peace and security, the spokesman pointed out.

Up to 70 countries and organizations are invited to attend the conference that will be held at a ministerial level, he added.
