The Khorfakkan Cultural Festival has honoured Emirates News Agency, WAM, an official news agency, for its role in highlighting the cultural activities nationwide.
The festival's shield was presented by Abdullah Mohammed Al-Sam Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council to Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Executive Director of WAM, on the second day of the festival. The event is held at Khorfakkan city beach.
Among others present were a number of officials including members of consultative and municipal councils; directors of public departments; dignitaries; some expatriate residents and foreign tourists.
Al Sam, Mohammed Al Suwaiji, Director of the Department of Culture in Eastern Region, and Ashwaq Al Naqbi, an official at the Department of Culture in Khorfakkan presented the certificates to the honoured.
