Sisi arrives in New York to attend UNGA meetings
New York - MENA

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived here on Sunday to take part in the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The president is due to deliver a speech at the UNGA during which he will highlight Egypt's vision on various regional and international issues, especially counter-terrorism efforts.

Sisi will also take part in a summit of the UN Security Council on reforming peacekeeping operations worldwide.

The president will review Egypt's efforts as the seventh largest contributor to the UN peacekeeping forces.

The president will participate in a meeting on Libya organized by the UN to support efforts to achieve a political settlement to the country's crisis.

Sisi will meet with US President Donald Trump, public figures, heads of major companies and members of the Business Council for International Understanding.

Sisi will review the Egyptian economic reform program and available investment opportunities in Egypt.

A large number of the Egyptian community in New York amassed outside Sisi's residence holding placards to welcome the president and underline their support for him.
