Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi
Sharjah - Arab Today

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has 'adopted' 10 mobile libraries in a project launched by the Kalimat Foundation for Children's Empowerment, KF, to adopt libraries, coinciding with the Sharjah International Book Fair, SIBF 2017.

The Crown Prince stressed the importance of culture in nurturing future generations, developing their abilities, skills, and potential, and enabling them to reach the highest echelons worldwide.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan praised the developmental and cultural process in Sharjah, which comes in accordance with the directives and the wise leadership of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

He also lauded the countless efforts of the Kalimat Foundation for Children’s Empowerment, headed by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and Chairperson of the KF, the Sharjah-based non-profit children's organisation dedicated to providing books and reading material to children in underprivileged areas, as well as global regions affected by crises and conflicts.

The mobile library project aims to provide the largest number of books which can be afforded for Arab children and adolescents around the world. The project also aims to restore libraries in disadvantaged communities and make learning more interesting by providing a wide range of books available to children living in remote areas.
