Deputy PM of Uzbekistan visits Bangka Belitung

Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Zoyir Toirovich paid a visit to an agrotourism area in Namang Village of Bangka Tengah District, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, to observe the pepper plantation in the region.
"We visited the pepper plantation to further explore the area following a meeting with President Joko Widodo," Toirovich said here on Wednesday.
The plantation is combined with a biodiverse forest area.
Toirovich expressed interest in gaining information on the cultivation process of pepper in Bangka Province.
Additionally, Regional Secretary of Bangka Tengah administration Sugianto noted that the region is focusing on the plantation of the pepper commodity.
"We are optimistic of realizing further cooperation in the plantation sector, particularly to increase the price of pepper," Sugianto added.
